*The new Drift Analysis feature precisely computes the actual sample rate of the audio hardware in your phone to determine any drift (which can cause up to a 3 cent deviation). To ensure an accurate measurement either GPS time or a NTP server is used as a reference clock. This requires permissions for GPS hardware and connecting to the internet. This alleviates the need for a high precision tuning forks for calibrating your tuner. This is only used when the user chooses to calibrate the device.
